|Synopsis||World Bowls has produced this training DVD to ensure that umpires and markers, whatever their level, are consistent in applying the laws and using the approved technical equipment.
Lasting just over 30 minutes, the first part of the two-part DVD covers umpiring skills and focuses on those needed to use the technical equipment. Part two, lasting 10 minutes, concentrates on marking and describes the basic skills required, explaining their place in the marker's duties before, during and after the game.
This information-packed DVD will be of interest to everyone involved with bowls - umpires, markers, players and administrators. In particular it will greatly benefit aspiring umpires and those 'grass roots' club bowlers who perform the responsible duties of marking, often with little or no training. In this respect, clubs should seriously consider purchasing a copy to enhance marker training programmes and to loan to interested members.
*Where UK National Authorities are out of stock, orders from the UK should be sent to the following address accompanied by a cheque for £10.00 (per copy) made payable to 'World Bowls'.
