Synopsis Bowls England, formed in 2008 from the unification of the English Women's Bowling Association (EWBA) and the English Bowling Association (EBA), has now taken over the publication of this annual year book previously published by the EBA. Extending to a massive 504 pages to accommodate material from the EWBA, an increased number of colour photographs and new information, it is a fact-packed book that contains details of virtually everything relevant to the game in England. Its content includes lists of clubs affiliated to Bowls England arranged by county, historical records of competition winners, dates of forthcoming tournaments, and summaries of the English Bowls Coaching Scheme, the English Bowls Umpires Association, the English Women's Umpires Association and the English Bowls Youth Development Scheme. The Crystal Mark Edition of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls* are included, and other diverse topics range from a list of licensed bowls manufacturers and testers to details of the Greens Maintenance Advisory Scheme. Particularly useful is a simple illustrated guide to the current requirements for bowls stamping. There's also a handy index of the numerous companies and organisations that purchase advertising space.

Overall the book is exceptional value at £3.50.
